Last season has been a historic one, with the medal count hitting an all-time club record and our Women’s and Master’s teams winning the title of National Champions! The team has earned 9 gold, 5 silver and 1 bronze medal plus two plate/minor final wins in various dragon boat and outrigger canoe competitions in Singapore and abroad.

With members from over 25 nations, we are the most international paddling club in Singapore and interested new parties are encouraged to contact us about an introductory training session with the team soon.

Dragon Boat

Dragon Boat training is held twice weekly on the Kallang Basin. After Saturday sessions we finish off with some nice cold 100Plus and beer!

Tuesday meet at 6:30 am until 8:00 am

Saturday meet at 3:00 pm until 5:30 pm

For new paddlers please contact us before your first practice.

Outrigger Canoe

Outrigger Canoe or OC trainings launches from WaveHouse at Siloso Beach, Sentosa and held three times a week.

Wednesday 6:00 am to 8:00 am

Friday 6:00 am to 8:00 am

Sundays 7:30 am to 10:30 am / 3:00 pm to 7:30 pm

Team members are encouraged to get a foundation in Dragon Boat and are required to complete a OC rookie safety session prior to joining regular OC trainings. Rookie trainings are held on an ad hoc basis as required.

Land Training

Fitness is an important aspect to Dragon Boat, Outrigger Canoe and is highly encouraged. Land Trainings are held weekly at different locations to fit your schedule in a boot camp style – so get ready to sweat!

Every Wednesdays 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm - Singapore Indoor Stadium Gate 22 - All are welcome, drop by and workout with us


Safety is extremely important to the American Dragons Singapore and we strive to meet all associate regulations. All practice sessions are conducted by an experienced coach and new members are given a safety briefing before going out on the water. A little rain is okay, but our coaches will communicate if practice is cancelled due to adverse weather ahead of practice.

What to bring ?

One of the most frequent questions we are asked! So, what should you wear/ bring to Dragon Boat and OC practice?

clothes you don’t mind getting wet

flip flop or water shoes

1L of water sunscreen

hat or sunglasses

For Land Training:

workout gear

running shoes

a large towel or yoga mat

1L of water (there is a fountain to refill bottles)

New Member Welcome

All nationalities are welcome! At present, we have over twenty nations represented on our team, including Singaporeans. There is no commitment for your first try with us, but there is a guest fee of S$10 for Dragon Boat or S$20 for Outrigger Canoe which covers equipment and coaching.
